After one and a half years of blood, sweat and tears – okay, so maybe just sweat and tears – I am DONEZO. That is a technical term that simply means I am finished with grad school – and, consequently, The COMmunicator.
It was a long summer, and I know you missed us. Who could blame you? Who else brings you the latest and greatest news from the Department of Mass Communication, Advertising and PR? Nobody, that’s who. But the good news is we are back – and we are packing a punch.
Hello and welcome to the May issue of The COMmunicator!
Spring is always the best time to be a student. Yes, there are those pesky exams and final projects, but there is also a bright light at the end of the tunnel. For most, that light is summer break. Some of us travel abroad, others have great internships and still others of us spend our days lounging on the couch or in the Commons. To each their own.
Perhaps you are thinking, “What happened to Puneet?” Well, COMers, she graduated and I am here to carry the torch for her – and believe me when I say I have big shoes to fill! Puneet and last semester’s staff did an amazing job getting The COMmunicator online, and my staff and I will carry on the tradition of keeping you informed about your college, your classmates and your professors.
Actually, it’s the new COMmunicator. I wonder how many of you remember The COMmunicator in its old avatar. It was a black &white print piece, and while well-intended, it had outlived its effectiveness—RIP.
