Katherine Seaton, Editor-in-Chief
Katherine is a second-year graduate student at the School of Communication and the Pardee School of Global Studies. She is pursuing a dual-degree in international relations and international communication (IRIC). Before attending BU, she worked at an international non-profit in Washington, DC for three years as their development coordinator. She graduated from American University in 2012 with a degree in international communication. Born and raised in Vermont, Katherine enjoys the cold weather and snow, especially watching it fall as she drinks a hot cup of coffee and works on a crossword puzzle.
Addie Brandfield-Harvey, Managing Editor
Addie is currently a graduate student in the College of Communication, concentrating in Public Relations. She earned her bachelor’s from BU in May 2016. She hails from Houston, Texas, but now identifies herself as a “Houstonian Bostonian.” When she takes a break from social media, she dedicates her time to extreme sports. Her resume includes half-marathons, Spartan Sprints, and road cycling. Follow her adventures on Twitter and Instagram @addesbh.
Denise Joseph, Senior Editor/Faculty Liaison
Denise is a graduate student studying mass communication. She is a BU staff member in the College of Engineering, Division of Systems Engineering, where she manages an academic center and a technical journal. Denise has an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Wesleyan University and a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an avid tea drinker. She delights in digging and planting in the garden and is especially proud of the rock paths and stone walls she’s constructed.
Lyndsie Davis, Senior Editor
Lyndsie is a first-year graduate student in public relations at Boston University. She’s from Salem, Utah, and earned her undergraduate degree from Utah State University. Her education there instilled in her a passion for storytelling and understanding the way people think. Since then she has worked with several different companies that all served to bring her focus to the world of communication, which then led her to BU.
Gavin Damore, Senior Editor
Gavin Damore is a public relations graduate student. Before coming to Boston University, Gavin developed social media and public relations content for Boston-based theatre productions, including the second international tour of “Kultar’s Mime” and Fort Point Theatre Channel’s world-premiere production of “Dreambook.” Gavin is also the communications manager and cofounder of Artists For Suburbia, a theatre initiative on Boston’s south shore, bringing new and experimental works to the suburbs. Gavin holds a B.A. in English from Stonehill College and currently works on the communications team at American Public Television.
Nora Barnicle, Social Media/Marketing DirectorLiaison
Nora is a grad student studying advertising with the hopes of becoming a successful copywriter. Her interest in the field was sparked by her time writing copies and blogs at Fever, a mobile startup company based in Madrid. Prior to this, Nora taught English in various Spanish cities, where she became fluent in Spanish and addicted to jamón ibérico (Spanish ham). Nora received her Bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University in International Affairs.
Paisley Piasecki, Webmaster
Paisley is a senior studying advertising with minors in French and Arts Leadership. She interns at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, runs a website for Boston college women, and is also the Interactive Manager in AdLab. When she’s not running around COM, you can find her practicing yoga, eating Georgetown cupcakes, or skyping with her sorority in Paris. Though she will graduate in May and move on to law school, web design is her first love and she vows to be a graphic designer in her next life.
