A New Study Buddy for Remote Learning

Taking classes at 2 am while trying to participate actively, doing everything online with an unstable connection that always kicks me out of the Zoom class, never knowing what my professors look like as they always wear masks behind the screen…

Remote learning is definitely more challenging, and to be honest, I don’t like it. If you have read my previous blogs, you may know that I spent my whole junior year studying abroad, so I miss Boston and our campus so badly. And remote learning just makes me feel more lonely and isolated from the school.

Luckily, I recently had a new study buddy, my cat Uni, who came to our family in May. He participates in a class by sniffing the screen and getting his butt into the camera, he steps on my keyboard and confidently adds comments to my paper, he snores extremely loudly when I struggle to keep my eyes open in the 3 am lecture… I never had a cat before, but now I see why they are loved.

Sitting and studying in my room for a whole day becomes my weekday routine. Sometimes I study with my friend in a cafe to get inspiration and company.
At the beginning of September, I finished the shooting of my short film. The different time zones allow me to film in the daytime and take classes at night.
Taking photos of the sky for my study break. Autumn comes and days are cooler. Here comes my favorite season!
