Welcome Back, Readers: A Letter from Our Fall 2018 Editor in Chief

To our readers,

It is a great honor and pleasure to serve as the new Editor in Chief of The BU COMmunicator. I want to take this opportunity to welcome you all back to school and to wish everyone a great new semester.

We have an exciting year ahead of us, and on behalf of The BU COMmunicator, I am pleased to have so many students participating in the creation of our publication. We can’t wait for our readers to see what we have in store, and to share the warmth and experiences of COM.

For those of you who are familiar with The BU COMmunicator, I want to take this opportunity to reaffirm my pleasure to work with such a great team. I am excited to collaborate with the talented students here to build something new, and to communicate and connect with the student community here at Boston University.

For those of you who are new to BU or not familiar with The BU COMmunicator, I would also like to share with you what we do. We are the student publication by and for those studying Mass Communication, Public Relations, and Advertising here at Boston University’s College of Communication. We are a student-led organization that aims to share the stories of our students, staff, alumni and so many more. Most importantly, we encourage a free-thinking environment, and we would like to hear from everyone.

As we propel forward into a new semester, we are aware that there are always new challenges that lie ahead. It is reassuring to know that we have a team that is willing to pull together and make the changes necessary to ensure our continued success.

Again, welcome back, everyone! I thank you for your continued enthusiasm and positive work effort, as we look forward to another successful semester.

Lucy Yan Chen
