Boston – February 20, 2013 – The Boston University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) will host the annual “PR Advanced” conference on Saturday February 23, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Boston University Photonics Building. The conference will explore the range of choices in the industry to demonstrate there is no single way to a successful career in public relations. PR Advanced will feature attendees with knowledge of building a successful career in public relations, including keynote speaker Rob Flaherty, CEO and Senior Partner at Ketchum.
The schedule for the conference includes eight breakout sessions from which students can attend two. Breakout sessions cover a variety of topics including the social business culture, effective storytelling through video, analyzing the success of campaigns, and connecting with your client.
Following the breakout sessions there will be lunch, a PRSSA special presentation, a career panel, and career fair. The event will end with a networking reception at Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drinks.
Conference registration space is still available at a fee of $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers with day-of registration charge increased to $50 for all members.
