More than twenty students gathered in the COM lounge on Thursday, February 18 for the Neo@Ogilvy information session. Neo is a leading digital and direct media agency. Alex Seiler, HR manager and group planning director Suzanne Yarwood discussed Neo’s six month rotational Digital Development Program. Successful completion of the unpaid training is the first step to getting hired.
In the program, students will gain a working knowledge of AdServing (2 weeks), Media/Search Planning (9 weeks), Insights & Analytics (4 weeks), and Search Engine Marketing (9 weeks). The program provides access to a depth and breadth of training that allows participants to quickly gain experience across the spectrum of digital marketing. Feedback and evaluations throughout will allow participants to better prepare for work at the agency.
Prior to the information session, interested students submitted their resumes and set up interview times with Neo. After the initial interview, students are required to write essays and submit two letters of recommendation to be considered a candidate for the Digital Development Program.
The second and final rounds of interviews are conducted over the phone. Applications of these students are revisited one more time. Candidates that best suit the needs of the organization will be extended offers to join the program. Depending on their interests, participants in the Digital Development Program will be hired as an Assistant Media Planner or Assistant Search Planner at the end of the six months.
Launched in 2006, Neo is a division of OgilvyOne Worldwide. SEO, blog campaigns, and Direct Response Television and Radio are just some of the exciting initiatives the agency works on.
